Flopomania is a twist to the traditional Texas Hold’em game, introducing a poker game in which the action starts when the flop is already open.
In Flopomania, the first decision a player has to take, begins right from the flop, skipping the pre-flop betting round.
With no pre-flop betting round, players will no longer post mandatory bets in the form of Small Blind and Big Blind, but in the form of an equal ante. All players who wish to participate in the upcoming round will post an equal bet – the table ante - before they are dealt with hole cards.
After all are dealt with hole cards and the flop then immediately open, the game starts regularly - with the player left to the Dealer position opening the betting round.
From that point, all the traditional rules of Texas Hold’em apply, including betting rules, hand ranking and game rules.
Flopomania Push or Fold
Push or Fold Flopomania is a variation on the regular Flopomania, introducing a pre-set betting amount and a binary option game.
In Flopomania Push or Fold players can either bet the table “Push” amount or check when they aren’t facing a bet; or fold or call the table “Push” amount when they are facing a bet.
Players can bet only once during the course of a single hand in Flopomania Push or Fold.
For example, in a Flopomania table with a $1 ante and a $10 “Push” amount, players can either check or bet $10. Once they have chosen to bet, they are capped and no longer able to place additional bets during that hand.
First to Act
With no Big Blind and Small Bling in Flopomania tables, the position left to the Dealer position is called "First to Act", and the player following the Dealer player is named the First to Act Player.
The player who is "First to Act", opens each betting round of Flopomania and acts first in every street of Flopomania.
