Former young prodigy Obrestaad has always loved playing games and spent much of her formative years bowling "fairly seriously" - she was actually watching bowling on television when she saw her first ad for an online poker room.

Career highlights

Obrestad is the youngest player ever to win a WSOP bracelet - a feat she accomplished at the 2007 WSOP Europe (she was also the first woman to win a main event). The event took place just before her nineteenth birthday and earned her a cool $2,000,000. Those in the know attribute her success to her aggressive yet intuitive signature playing style.

"I want to be one of the good players, not one of the good female players. I don't focus too much on the "Last Woman Standing," that's never my main goal. I play to win the tournament." (Feministing)
