The Swedish Poker-SM Online Championship Series (PSMO) is returning to 888poker on April 1! The $150+$10 buy-in, $15K GTD PSMO Main Event will take place on Sunday, April 29 at 19:00, SE time.
For the third year in a row, 888poker will be the event's exclusive sponsor, and right now you can win your way in via one of our daily $12 PSMO Satellite tournaments.
The Swedish Poker-SM Online Championship started back in 2006 and has been held annually ever since. In 2014, the single tournament morphed into a festival with events in different poker variants.
What to Expect in April
The 2018 PSMO is comprised of 10 events throughout the month of April beginning with both a Freeroll and $22 buy-in Lowroller on Sunday, April 1. Those events will take place at 19:00 and 20:00 respectively.
Other events on the schedule include a $55 buy-in PSMO DeepStack (Sunday, April 8 at 19:00), $320 buy-in PSMO High Roller 6-Max (Sunday, April 15 at 19:00), and $320 PSMO PLO High Roller 6-Max (Sunday, April 22 at 19:00).
However, the premier event of the series will be the $150+$10 buy-in PSMO Main Event on Sunday, April 29 at 19:00. That event, which closes out the series, will boast a $15,000 guarantee and offer 120-minute levels.
In the past, the PSM has attracted players such as World Series of Poker bracelet winner Peter Eichardt and Jerry “perrymejsen” Ödeen. Among those to win the Main Event in years past include Emma Wikberg and Pontus Magnusson. We also anticipate two of Sweden’s top players, Sofia Lövgren and 2014 WSOP Champ Martin Jacobson, both 888poker Ambassadors, to be in action.
Satellites & Bonus Packages
Satellites to the Main Event and $55 side events are currently running on 888poker and will continue to do so until the end of the month.
The winner of the PSMO Main Event will be awarded a package to the 888poker LIVE Barcelona being held from May 31-June 3 at Casino Barcelona.
In addition, whoever tops the PSMO leaderboard will get a package to the 2018 WSOP Crazy Eights event in Las Vegas from June 30-July 3. Both packages include a travel stipend, accommodation, and entry into the tournament.
