888poker’s popular Knockout (KO) Games Series kicked off back on Sunday, November 6 and will run through November 22. The twist this year is all tournaments are special “Mystery Bounty Edition”. They feature one of three bounty components – Mystery, Knockout (KO), or Progressive Knockouts (PKO).

The 44-event series will offer more than $2 million in guaranteed prize pools across its affordable buy-ins. That includes the $250 buy-in, $500,000 GTD Multi-flight Main Event that’ll offer up a massive $50,000 top bounty!

Flights for that kick off on Wednesday, November 16 and run through Monday, November 21. Day 2 will take place on the same day at 20:00 GMT.

Another popular event sure to attracted players is the $2,100 buy-in, $100K GTD Super High Roller on Sunday, November 20 at 19L00 GMT. So, be sure to mark your calendar for that!

One week in, through 13 events, the series has catered to 4,644 entrants and awarded $551,080 in prize money.

Players from Brazil lead the way with three titles, while Chile has two. Other country winners include Ukraine, Latvia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Moldova, Netherlands, and Lithuania.

On Sunday, the $215 buy-in, $150K GTD KO Games Mystery Bounty had 502 players rebuy 125 times. So, meant the $150,000 prize pool was reserved for the top 96 finishers. There was also a top bounty of $15,000 up for grabs. That wound up going to Canada’s “GR8Yukoner”, who also finished in 72nd place for $285.

Others to finish in the money were the following players –

  • “MRK786” (83rd place for $277.50 + $961.69 in bounties)
  • “Why_a_King” (61st place for $285 + $1,711.69 in bounties)
  • Dominik “888Dominik” Nitsche (47th place for $300)
  • Niklas “tutten7” Åstedt (33rd place for $307.50 + $635.09 in bounties)
  • “WalnutPix” (21st place for $397.50 + $1,010.08 in bounties)
  • Final table bubble “BadBeatMaker” (10th place for $862.50 + $211.69 in bounties)

The final table of nine players went on an overnight hiatus with Brazil’s “tulio96” leading the pack with nearly 3.3 million. That was considerably more than both “Eg1D1” and “BigodinSagaz”, who both had approximately 1.2 million. The other six players at the table had six-figure stacks with Brazil’s “crizelda” on the shortest with 477,102.

One of those on the shorter side of things was Nicolas “PKaiser” Fierro (534,666). He managed to get heads-up against Brazil’s “VemLavanda” after “tulio96” bowed out in third place for $6,915.

Kaiser wound up closing it out to claim a $12,975 top prize to go along with his $1,270.15 in bounties for a total payout of $14,245.15.

Also, on Sunday was the $525 buy-in, $50K GTD KO Games High Roller Mystery Bounty, drawing 81 players who rebought 27 times. That generated a $54,000 prize pool reserved for the top 15 finishers, while the top bounty available was $5,000.

Among those to finish in the money were the following –

It took nearly six hours of play before Lithuania’s “Destroyer300” defeated Montenegro’s “pokanuktus” to win the tournament for $7,989.50. They also had $6,875 in bounties for a total payout of $14,864.50.

Similarly, “pokanuktus” had $6,125 in bounties to go along with their $5,220 in prize money for a total payday of $11,345.

It was a good day at the virtual felt for Brazilian players on Thursday, especially in the $109 buy-in, $30K GTD KO Games Mystery Bounty 8-Max. That tournament drew 197 players who rebought 45 times and offered a $30,000 prize pool to the top 32 finishers. There was also a top mystery prize of $3,000 up for grabs, which wound up going to Brazil’s “LeoJoseCarne”.

Five of the eight players at the final table hailed from Brazil, and a trio of them made it all the way to the final three. After “radtrader” exited in third place for $4,697.72, it left “JulioFantin” to battle the aforementioned “LeoJoseCarne” in heads-up play.

After nearly seven hours of play, “JulioFantin” emerged victorious to claim a $3,037.50 top prize plus $1,177.27 in bounties for a total payday of $4,214.77.

Meanwhile, “LeoJoseCarne” received $2,325 in prize money for finishing as runner-up. That gave him a tournament-leading payout of $7,347.73, along with his $5,022.73 in bounties.

Meanwhile, Brazil’s “Mr.Alvim” topped the 830-entry field to win a $1,402.50 top prize plus $182.71 in bounties for a total payday of $1,585.21.

On Saturday, the $1,050 buy-in, $40K GTD KO Games PKO 8-Max saw 39 players rebuy five times. The prize moneyh squeaked by the guarantee with $44,000 up for grabs.

Only the top five finishers got a piece of the regular prize pool, including the following –

  • “Zodiac1831” (5th place for $1,760 + $750 in bounties)
  • Niklas “tutten7” Åstedt (4th place for $2,200 + $1,375 in bounties)
  • “Edgarito12” (3rd place for $3,300 + $1,125 in bounties)

The Netherlands’ “DGrignon” and Montenegro’s “Iroquois” both locked up $7,370 in prize money by virtue of making it to heads-up play.
