CANCELLED EVENT - We at 888poker continue to closely monitor the situation and are working with our local partners to assess the situation for upcoming live events. While we are passionate about live poker and will explore all options for our events to go ahead, we recognize that the health of attendees and participants comes first.
It is on this basis that we have made the decision to cancel our 888poker LIVE Bucharest Festival 2020, acknowledging that allowing such a gathering to take place would risk undermining efforts to prevent the spread of the virus.
Players who won packages to the event online will have the option to attend a different 888poker LIVE event of their choice during 2020. We thank our players for their understanding and we are committed to resuming our planned programme of events as soon as it is safe and responsible to do so.

The Main Event kicks off on 23rd of March with the winner walking away with top money and a 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event package.

A Look Back at 2019’s Festival
You might remember that last year’s Main Event crushed its €300,000 guarantee, attracting 505 entries, creating a €387,638 prize pool.
Heads-up play resulted in a deal being made, based on ICM calculations where, the remaining prize money was split in the following fashion, and they would play for the $12,600 WSOP Main Event package and the trophy:
Darius Neagoe: €62,300
Bogdan Nicolae: €59,900
Fifteen minutes after making that deal, Bogdan found himself all-in and at risk, holding pocket tens. Darius made the call with K♥J♦ and spiked his Jack right on the flop and with the Tens not able to improve, Darius claimed the title, trophy and WSOP package.
