On Sunday, August 12 we’re giving players the opportunity to become millionaires simply by playing BLAST Sit & Go’s, which are turbo Texas hold’em sit and goes played four-handed.

For a limited time only, those who play a $1 BLAST event will have a chance at $1,000,000, while those who participate in the $5 BLAST could win $2,000,000.

“Not many people get a chance to win that kind of money in poker, much less for $1 or $5,” said 888poker Ambassador Chris Moorman, who plans to BLAST away for the very first time during the promotion. “This is a fun, low-cost opportunity to try your luck that anyone can enjoy regardless of skill level.”

Likewise, fellow Ambassador and 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event champ Martin Jacobson will be jumping into the action.

“It’s kind of like winning the lottery,” he said. “I have never played one but winning $2,000,000 sounds like fun so I will give them a try!”

On the flip side, one 888poker Ambassador who is well-versed in the ways of BLAST poker is Dominik Nitsche.

Team888's Dominik Nitsche loves BLAST Sit & Go Games

“I love the promotion. I've been a huge fan of the format for a long time and think they're great for the recreational players,” said Nitsche, who once won a $100 BLAST SnG with a $10,000 prize pool. “Everyone likes playing for a huge prize pool and the smaller the buy-in, the better.”

He continued: “I play them occasionally at the highest buy-ins when I have a bit of time to kill. I like that I can fire up a decent number of buy-ins and potentially win a good bit of money in very little time. I hope the promotion will inspire a lot of people to play some of the higher ones. They are good fun and really easy to multi-table.”

Even TeamNeverLucky and 888poker ambassador, Parker "TonkaaaaP" Talbot, hoped he might get lucky!

"Of course, I think it's awesome. While I'm not the most insane fan of the format as a whole ('cause of how unlucky I am to never get a big blast ;)), this is obviously gonna be great, and I hope I get to sweat the big one!"

He went on to add, "I rarely play them - mostly on breaks in MTTs if I'm looking for a quick and fun break. But, this will definitely edge me towards flicking a few."

Hopes aside, what's his best BLAST story or biggest prize he's won playing a BLAST Sit & Go?

"None - because I'm never lucky! I think I won an 8x or something, one time - that's literally it."

How Does a BLAST Event Work?

The prize pool of each BLAST is determined based on a draw that takes place at the beginning of each tournament and varies between two and 10,000 times the buy-in of the selected BLAST Sit & Go. BLAST SnGs offer different buy-ins to choose from 10¢, $1, $5 and $30.

Once the tournament starts, which happens just as soon as four players are registered, the BLAST timer starts the countdown. When the BLAST timer runs out, all the remaining players are all-in until there’s a single winner.

Each BLAST player receives a starting stack of 1,500 chips regardless of the drawn prize pool multiplier. The blind structure and prize pool distribution of each BLAST Sit & Go is determined according to the multiplier that was assigned to the BLAST Sit & Go.

How to Register for a BLAST Sit & Go

It’s easy. First, click on the BLAST tab which you’ll find on the far right of the navigation bar at the top of 888poker’s main lobby.

Under this tab, you’ll find all available BLAST Sit & Go buy-ins. It really is that simple.
