Welcome to our latest poker venture where we’ve partnered with 888poker ambassador, Kara Scott to bring you a podcast with a bit of a twist.

The Heart of Poker endeavours to go behind the surface of poker, exploring what makes the best-of-the-best players win and keep on winning!

Kara Scott's first guest, one of the most successful online poker tournament players of all time. You may have heard other interviews with the man they call Moorman1, but we can guarantee you’ve never heard him like this!

Beyond the Psychology of Poker Players

Kara is using a modified version of the questions developed by psychologist Arthur Aron of Stony Brook University. Aron designed the questions to see if he could make two people fall in love and although romance isn't the goal of this podcast, vulnerability and authenticity definitely are.

Team888, British Pro, Chris Moorman

Kara endeavours to interview well-known players in ways not done before, by getting into and opening up the hearts of many famous players. She attempts to make a deep connection with her interviewees, both on and off the felt using 36 questions that get progressively more intimate – trying to fast-track getting to know them better.

Accents, Creepy Eyes and Growing Up Moorman

Moorman reveals stories he's never told before and opens up about his life on and off the poker felt.

“No, but I’m feeling a lot of pressure after that introduction!” he quips back!

Moorman reveals stories he's never told before and opens up about his life on and off the poker felt.

Kara continues by asking Chris about how easy he finds it to get to know people socially. Half-way through they’re onto the topic of kids, culture (Chris is married to an American) and accents!

By the time we get to the final cuts, we’re onto the subject of what terrifies you – ask Kara about an eye, a furnace and throwing up! Which, of course, leads to what you would change about your upbringing – a tough one to end on!

Listen in as Kara takes you down the rabbit hole, through life both in and out of the poker world.
