The XL Blizzard is in the books!

For 11 days, we hosted 34 events, including the $1,050 buy-in Event #32: $1,000,000 GTD Main Event, which drew 730 players who rebought 272 times. Argentina’s “Pepepepepe.”, who is an XL Inferno champion, came out on top to win the tournament for $183,867.

Figures & Stats

All told, 24,757 unique players took part in the XL Blizzard and $3,356,903 in prize money was awarded.

Here are some other impressive stats and figures from the online festival:

No Multiple Winners – For the first time, we offered bonuses for players who won multiple events, including an extra $1,000 in cash for two-time winners and a life-changing $1,000,000 for anyone who could win five. Unfortunately, no one succeeded in winning multiple events.

Final Table Bonanza – Throughout the XL Blizzard, 25 players managed to reach more than one final table. Fabrizio “DrMiKee” Gonzalez, Niklas “tutten7” Åstedt, “Kzzon,” “yarik1903,” and “luckypanch75” all tied for the lead with three.

Some players to make two final tables included Opening Event winner Jans “Graftekkel” Arends, “Ao1ing,” and “JohnJones34,” just to name a few.

8+ Cash Club – Just seven players cashed eight or more times during the XL Blizzard. Leading the pack was “Kzzon,” who cashed in an amazing 14 tournaments on the 34-event schedule. Not far behind with a dozen cashes was “Clay_Born,”, and behind him with ten was “Ao1ing.”

Meanwhile, “RakDoll” notched nine cashes, while “ContraSagra,” “luckypanch75,” and “DefiMensue” all cashed eight times.

The XL Blizzard officially wrapped with two special tournaments – the “Bubble of Bubbles” and the “Champion of Champions.”

The Netherlands’ “InJeBakkes” is Ultimate Bubble Boy

The “Bubble of Bubbles” tournament, which took place last week, was only open to those players who bubbled an XL Blizzard event. Of those, 16 took to the virtual felt, and seven of them left empty-handed.

Those who finished fifth through ninth, including Latvia’s “varonislv” (6th place), earned a $55 tournament ticket. Meanwhile, Brazil’s “R.nahtanoJ” (2nd place), Sweden’s “youpornwnker” (3rd place), and the Netherlands’ “BobLeeSwagga” (4th place) all earned $160 tournament tickets.

After 3 hours and 20 minutes, the Netherlands’ “InJeBakkes” came out on top to win a $3,000 Crazy 8 WSOP package. Additionally, for bubbling the “Bubble of “Bubbles” in 10th place, Brazil’s “BernardoDG,” who qualified for the tournament by bubbling the $35 buy-in Event #26: $10,000 Mini Knockout, was also awarded the same package.

Belarus’ “HellChicKKen” Wins XL Blizzard Champion of Champions

Meanwhile, the Champion of Champions, which was open to those who finished in the top 50 in points on the XL Blizzard leaderboard, wrapped up on Sunday.

The winner of that tournament, Belarus’ “HellChicKKen,” who hadn’t won a title during the main XL Blizzard series, walked away with a $12,000 WSOP Vegas package, while the runner-up, Malta’s “POTITOOOOOOO,” earned a $3,000 Crazy 8 WSOP package plus a $1,050 tournament ticket.

Finishing in third place for a $3,000 Crazy 8 WSOP package was Russia’s “Pasha813,” who you might recall won the XL Blizzard Event #4: $20,000 Twins Royal for $5,633.50. Fourth and fifth-place finishers – Lithuania’s “yrkkk” and Ukraine’s “Fukuruku” – each received a $1,050 tournament ticket.

Rounding out the prize winners were the sixth through tenth-place finishers, who each received a $600 tournament ticket, while the rest of the participants got a $55 tournament ticket as a consolation prize just for playing.
