A dozen more events played out on Day 4 of the XL Eclipse, which over the next two weeks will feature 197 events and $8,000,000 in guarantees. Thus far, 52 winners have been crowned in the online series and have secured seats in the Champion of Champions Event on September 26 at 18:00 GMT.

The top three players in that tournament, which is only open to XL Eclipse winners, will win live event prize packages, which includes the winner receiving a $13,000 package to the 2017 World Series of Poker Europe at King’s Rozvadov.

“RendOss” Wins Biggest Prize of the Day

The biggest prize of the day came in Event #47: $50,000 8-Max, a tournament that drew 607 entries (325 rebuys) and created a prize pool of $93,200 prize pool). After nearly 12 hours of play, the Netherlands’ “RendOss” came out on top to win $17,428.40.

Others to finish in the top 80 and walk away with some cash were Niklas “tutten7” Astedt (58th- $307.56), Nicolas “PKaiser” Fierro (23rd - $745.60), and “imabarista” (10th - $1,165).

Back in December, “RendOss” topped a field of 161 entries to win the $15,000 Crocodile for $5,450. Over the years, he’s also won the Lightning 6-Max and Early Monsoon on 888poker.

Stephen “Sizzlinbetta” Reynolds Turns $12 Into Four-Figure Score

Event #48: $10,000 Mini 8-Max cost just $12 to enter, and 1,143 entries (620 rebuys) saw the GTD nearly double with a $19,216.70 prize pool. Among the 144 players to get a piece of it were “Rianic” (50th - $55.72), “boquillas” (21st - $96.08), and “Meirutis1994” (10th - $172.95).

After 9 hours and 37 minutes, it was Stephen “Sizzlinbetta” Reynolds playing from Mexico who turned his modest buy-in into a $3,503.20 payday, not to mention claiming a coveted XL Eclipse title.

A little over a week ago, Reynolds won the e$750 GTD Turbo R&A for $211, the same tournament he finished runner-up in the day before. In late August, he also won the $500 Super Turbo Blowfish for $131.23. Obviously Reynolds is no stranger to winning.

Ivan “ivanascasubi” Vilchez Represents Argentina to Victory

The last tournament of the day, the $55 buy-in Event #53: $5,000 Turbo Americas, drew 83 entries, and after just 194 minutes Ivan “ivanascasubi” Vilchez walked away with a $1,677.50 top prize, but perhaps more importantly a XL Eclipse title for Argentina.

It was the first win for Vilchez since April 20, which is when he took down the $8,000 Late Night Crocodile for $2,471. Between then and now, he had some close calls including fifth in the Tornado a month ago for $780, third in the Monsoon in mid-July for $1,175, and third in the July 4th Tuesday Challenge for $2,599.

What’s on Tap for Tomorrow?

Thursday is going to be a busy day in the XL Eclipse at 14 events are on the schedule. The biggest buy-in of $215 will be Event #62: $100,000 Quarterback at 18:00. At 18:35, the $12 buy-in Event #64: $25,000 Thursday Challenge will get underway, and then at the top of the hour (19:00) the $109 buy-in Event #65: $15,000 Tornado will kick off.

Other tournaments on the docket include the $160 buy-in Event #57: $20,000 Crocodile (16:30), $55 buy-in Event #59: $50,000 R&A (17:00), and $55 buy-in Event #61: $20,000 Monsoon.
