On Tuesday, the XL Eclipse officially came to a close with the Champion of Champions event, a tournament open only to those who captured one of the series’ 197 titles.

Amazingly, Germany’s “CllsDntMttr,” the man who just two days earlier won the XL Eclipse Main Event for $273,037.60, which was his second XL Eclipse title, finished as the Champion of Champions to win a $13,000 package to the 2017 World Series of Poker Europe at King’s Rozvadov.

Due to 13 repeat winners, one of which was “CllsDntMttr” after he won Event #10: $250,000 Whale for $64,826.50 back on Day 1 of the series, 183 players were eligible for the Champion of Champions. However, only 99 of them opted to partake in the freeroll. Of those, the top 40 walked away with prizes including the 10th through 40th place finishers receiving a $55 tournament ticket.

The best prizes were reserved for the top three finishers. Coming in third for a $1,050 Tournament Ticket was Russia’s “RendOss,” who qualified by topping a field of 607 entries to win Event #47: $50,000 8-Max for $17,428.40.
