Day 14 of the $7,500,000 XL Inferno Championships was comprised of 13 events, and some interesting stories came out of Saturday’s action. That included a deep run by 888poker Ambassador Parker “888tonkaaaa” Talbot and Romania’s “PokerMogo” taking down his second title of the series. Read about those stories and more below.

Day 12 – Thomas “WushuTM” Muhlocker wins Quarterback

Day 13 -- “Dmilito22” captures second title in two days

Parker “888tonkaaaa” Talbot Finishes Third in Breeze

Event #169 $15,000 Breeze drew 366 players, which surpassed the advertised guarantee by creating a $18,300 prize pool. It took Italy’s “Roma4892” eight hours and 29 minutes to capture the title for $3,511.77, and while it was an impressive and well-deserved win, there’s no denying a lot of poker fans were let down. That’s because Twitch superstar and 888poker Ambassador Parker “888tonkaaaa” Talbot was at the final table, ultimately finishing third for $1,921.50.

Also at the final table was Bulgaria’s “Noob3R1337,” who you may recall placed third out of 1,433 players for $20,398.75 in the same Super XL Mini Main Event that 888poker Ambassador Dominik Nitsche won.

Finally, Poland’s “Chester20o” made a deep run for the second day in a row. After finishing second in Event #162 $20,000 Monsoon on Friday night for $3,129, “Chester20o” placed fourth in Saturday’s Breeze for $1,464.

Romania’s “PokerMogo” Captures Second Title

A week ago, Romania’s “PokerMogo” topped a massive field of 1,171 players to win the $160 buy-in Event #97 $200,000 Tune Up for a hefty $44,996 payday. On Saturday, he showed the world he’s no one hit wonder as he navigated a field of 282 players to win Event #173 $25,000 Saturday R&A for $6,799.62 and his second title.

Also at the final table was “joga_pra_cor,” who back on Day 4 of the XL Inferno won Event #52 $20,000 Americas for $6,900. He made a good run at his second title but came up short busting in eighth place for $831.25.

Day#14 XL Inferno Champions

Day 14 of the XL Inferno saw 13 more events come to an end with each winner locking up a seat into the XL Champion of Champions tournament. Thus far, 178 seats have been awarded for that event which will see three lucky winners receive packages to the 2017 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Day#15 – What’s in Store for the Final Day?

Sundays are always big for online poker players, but this Sunday is event bigger with the conclusion of the XL Inferno Championships. There are 17 events on tap with buy-ins ranging from $22 up to $1,050.

Of course, the highlight is the $1,050 buy-in Event #189 $1,500,000 Main Event at 18:00. At the same time, the $160 buy-in Event #190 $250,000 Mini Min Event will kick off. Two hours later the $109 buy-in Event #196 $30,000 Turbo Main gets underway, and an hour after that the final tournament of the XL Inferno – the $75 buy-in Event #197 $15,000 Super Turbo Main Event – will give players their last opportunity to capture a title.
