The much-anticipated so-called grudge match between Cate Hall and Mike Dentale took place on March 19th. Held at the SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia and hosted by Doug Polk and Shaun Deeb, this event was shaping up to rival the Matuson vs Kassouf showdown at the 888Live King’s Festival.

It all started when Cate tweeted her regret at the way she played a hand against Barry Hutter on Day 3 of the WPT Five Diamond Classic Main Event. It caused a bit of a raucous and Mike got caught up in the mix by questioning Hall’s poker playing ability - again.

The gloves were off and the gauntlet thrown down as Cate challenged Mike to a heads-up match, which Mike graciously accepted.

Our very own Kara Scott spoke to Cate after the match – which she won 2-0 - to get her take on the event. Although the entertainment level was high, Hall says that it was all about proving her poker skills and making some money at the same time.
