Winter is not only coming for the final season of Game of Thrones but also on 888poker as the popular XL Blizzard returns April 4-14. With 34 action-packed events and more than $1.7 million in guarantees, the online series is sure to be a hit. With buy-ins ranging from $5.50 to $320, there’s literally a tournament for everyone!

What’s more, any player that participates in five tournaments will be awarded a seat to a freeroll in which we’ll award four WSOP packages, including one to the Main Event and three to the Crazy 8’s tournament.

Click here for a look at the full XL Blizzard schedule.

If you were to fire a single bullet into each XL Blizzard tournament, it’d cost you $2,633.80. We realise not everyone can afford to do that, but the good news is you can satellite into events for a fraction of the cost – just $200 - or even via one of our freerolls!

Win Your Way to the WSOP by Playing the XL Blizzard

Win Your Way to the WSOP Just by Playing the XL Blizzard

The XL Blizzard is also offering players a unique opportunity to win their way to the 2019 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

All you have to do is play in five events, and you’ll receive a qualifier ticket into a freeroll at the end of the XL Blizzard series. That freeroll will award a $12,600 package for not only the 2019 WSOP Main Event but also three – that’s right THREE – $2,700 packages to the 2019 WSOP Event #64: $888 Crazy 8’s tournament.

The Main Event package includes the following:

  • Six nights (July 4-10) at the luxurious Vdara Hotel in Las Vegas
  • The $10,000 tournament buy-in
  • An 888poker LIVE kit
  • $1,000 for travel and expenses

The Crazy 8’s package is similar, albeit for an $888 buy-in as opposed to $10K.

The Crazy 8’s tournament at the WSOP will start players with 40,000 in chips and play 30-minute levels on Day 1 before increasing to 60 minutes on subsequent days. There’s also a guaranteed first-place prize of $888,888 for the winner!

How to Maximise Playing with a $200 Bankroll

If you’re on a limited bankroll, the first thing you’ll want to do is take advantage of our large selection of satellites starting as little as 1¢.

You’ll also want to mark your calendar for three events all with a $5.50 buy-in or lower:

  1. The first is the $5.50 buy-in Event #12: $10,000 Micro Tune Up on Sunday, April 7 at 7 p.m. GMT.
  2. The following day at 6 p.m. GMT the $5.50 buy-in Event #15: $10,000 Mini R&A will get underway.
  3. Finally, the XL Blizzard series will close out with the $5.50 buy-in Event #34: $15,000 Micro Main at 7:30 p.m. GMT on Sunday, April 14.

Two other affordable buy-ins to focus on is the $16.50 buy-in Event #2: $20,000 Mini Opening Event at 6:00 p.m. GMT on opening day, Thursday, April 4, and two days later on Saturday, April 6 at 6 p.m. GMT the $8.80 buy-in Event #7: $10,000 Mini Crazy 8.

Even with a $200 bankroll, you can comfortably play in our large selection of $22 and $33 buy-in tournaments. Those start with the $22 buy-in Event #5: $20,000 Mini PKO on Friday, April 5 at 6 p.m. GMT, with the next one being the $33 buy-in Event #21: $10,000 Late PKO on Wednesday, April 10 at 8 p.m. GMT.

At 6 p.m. GMT on Thursday, April 11, the $22 buy-in Event #23: $20,000 Mini PKO 8-Max kicks off, and the next day at 8 p.m. GMT the $33 buy-in Event #27: $10,000 Late DeepStack begins. The final tournament at the $33 buy-in price point is Event #33: $50,000 Mini Main on Sunday, April 14 at 7 p.m. GMT.

If you played all the events listed above, it’d cost just $184.80! That even leaves you enough for some rebuys and an add-on in the aforementioned Event #15: $10,000 Mini R&A.
