Explanation of Bot

Using a pre-programmed script to play poker is against the terms and conditions of almost all poker sites. Certain sites are notorious for either turning a blind-eye to bots, or simply being inept enough to verify their existence. As such, certain online poker networks have a large presence of non-human players, especially at the lower limit games where bots have a better chance of surviving when playing against relatively unskilled opposition.

Example of Bot used in a sentence -> I would be careful playing in those games, they are apparently riddled with bots.

How to Use Bot as Part of Your Poker Strategy

Firstly, it is not recommended to make use of a bot to play the online poker games. Any conscientious poker network will ban your account and freeze your funds if they discover what you are up to.

In terms of legitimate human players, especially when playing lower limits, it’s important to keep on the lookout for opponents who might not be human. For the most part, bots are beatable, but the strategy required to beat a bot might be somewhat different from the strategy we’d use to beat an average unknown opponent at the same limit.
