Explanation of Ducks

It’s common in Hold’em to give certain types of starting hands nicknames. One nickname for pocket Deuces is “ducks” because Deuces are considered to look like ducks. 

Other names for 22 -

Desmond
Quack Quack
Swans/swarovskis
Richard Nixon

Example of Ducks used in a sentence -> We managed to flop bottom set with our ducks.

How to Use Ducks as Part of Your Poker Strategy

There are practically endless nicknames for all of the different starting hands in Hold’em. Knowing them is presumably not super important, but sometimes not knowing common nicknames such as “ducks” could result in us feeling left out of a poker conversation we are not following.
