Have you ever wanted to get access to as much information as you can about a particular poker format? It seems as if there is an information overload or a conflict of information when it comes to researching specific topics in poker.
On the other hand, there are times when you just can't find the right answer to your poker-related questions – no matter how hard you trowel through a mountain of Google searches.
Well, look no further.
At 888poker, we have designed an interactive program called, The Game.
What is The GAME?
Simply put, this is your primary source for all the essential knowledge necessary to play, Texas Hold'em, Omaha Hi, Omaha Hi-Lo, 7 Card Stud and SNAP poker.
Once you enter The Game interface, you'll be able to choose from any one of the 5 poker variations above.
Each section contains a wealth of poker information regarding the following à
- Game Rules
- How to Play
- Gameplay
- Basic Strategy/Tips
You'll get an interactive experience as simulated hands spring to life on the screen – complete with explanations for each step along the way.
If you've ever been confused by pre-flop action – who posts the blinds or which player acts first – The Game supplies all the answers.
Here’s How It Works
After you enter a game, you'll get a basic overview of how that poker format works. The NEXT button takes you to the following screen where there's a Quick Start menu. From there, you get information about the concept of the game, the aim and how a hand is made.
Once you've got the basics down pat, you'll be able to click through a variety of screens that take you from the deal and pre-flop action, all the way to showdown →
- Intro
- Quick Start
- Aim
- The Hand
- The Deal
- The Dealer Button
- Small Blind
- Big Blind
- Hole Cards
- Pre-Flop
- Flop
- Turn
- River
- Showdown
In each of the above sections, there are 4 to 5 steps taking you through the rules of the game, one by one.
And, each screen is accompanied by an image that clearly shows the action, making each step simple, easy-to-follow and understand.
Hand Hierarchy
In addition to the explanation of how each poker variant works and the rules to each, The Game has a standard poker hand hierarchy table, built in.
It pulls down from the top-right of the screen and is easily accessible from any part of the program.
Now you'll never have an excuse for not knowing which hand beats which!
Poker Tips
And, as if a hand hierarchy wasn't enough, we have also provided a poker tips section. Under each poker format, you'll find a tips button. Click on it to be taken to a section that contains some cool and informative advice about your chosen poker game.
Each poker format has it's very own tips section, tailored so that you can get the best advice about how to play and win.
So, now that you know all about The Game, isn't it time that you took a look?
